As the daughter of immigrants, I’ve heard stories of tyranny and oppression that impacted members of my family. Perhaps that’s why I especially value the privileges and freedoms bestowed upon U.S. citizens. I don’t understand apathy or disregard when it comes to voting. This quilt, with transcriptions of the constitutional amendments about the right to vote, expresses my wish that every citizen participate in our own governance.
