On this website lives a diverse, online collection of quilt art. All works, which were submitted and posted between 2017 and 2020, express a response to the first Trump administration. Essentially and extraordinarily, they display a focus on preserving our American democracy, our Constitutional and moral values, and our place in the world.

Following the 2024 election, most of us are dismayed to have Donald Trump lead our country again. We are shocked and disappointed that a failed businessman and a felon who acts like a king will preside over the 250th anniversary of that time when we overthrew a monarchy.

What issues are important to you? Click on Gallery, then click on SORT BY THEME which you’ll find on the right side. Scroll down to find the issue that you are passionate about and click on it. You will be taken to a page with art quilts that address that issue. At the bottom left, there may be arrows to take you to more pages of fabric art statements.

We hope this site provides touchstones that inspire advocacy for social justice, equality, and renewed civic engagement. Speak out on social media, and consider sharing an image from this site to illustrate your message. Just one request: get in touch with the artist for permission, and provide credit where credit is due. Similarly, if you would like to purchase an art quilt you see here, contact the artist. Think about gifting an art quilt to a non-profit or legal aid office so they can feature a powerful statement on their walls. Chances are excellent the artist will be delighted to have the exposure and/or sale.
