Many of the marches and rallies in Wichita start or end at the Keeper of the Plains. He is said to watch over Wichitans from his place on sacred ground at the intersection of the Big and Little Arkansas Rivers.
This quilt is an homage to my persisters and our first Women’s March Air Capital. It was auctioned to raise money to fund a scholarship in honor of the Centennial of the 19th Amendment.
